Whilst having a team of motivated, well-trained and professional screeners and security guards working on the front line is of fundamental importance, one must not underestimate the value of ensuring that the security management team is equally focussed on the risks and the implications of failing to address them adequately.

Management often have competing interests – ensuring the flow of passengers or visitors is unimpeded, providing customer service input, and creating a pleasant environment in which security measures are conducted can seem, at times, to conflict with the need to enforce security controls. Our instructors run security management courses which blend the needs for security and facilitation and provide delegates with the skill sets necessary for them to ensure security controls are effected, staff are motivated and that the operation continues unimpeded…unless, as part of our emergency response modules, it is absolute necessary.
