Green Light’s course on Deportee Escort Training is aimed at helping airlines and security companies develop guidelines, principles and best practices in order to adhere with Annex 9’s International Standards and Recommendations and the Annex’s chapter 3 Section E as it relates to deportees.
The Green Light programme addresses the legitimate needs of both the deporting State and the operator and recognises key component parts of the duties of an escort and the operator are met namely:
  • Risk assessment of deportee
  • Travel documentation needed by escort
  • An overview of the operator’s internal evaluation and notification process
  • Government mandated security screening requirements
  • Delay to flight due to deportees and escorts checked baggage is avoided
  • Travel documentation of deportee
  • The use of restraints and the training in the safe use of
  • The use of force
  • The use of sedatives or other drugs
  • The management of violent persons and ensuring the safety of crew and passengers
We offer two types of courses:-

  • b) Train-the-Trainer (to those training the escorts)
