MISSION STATEMENT

"Through the provision of training and consultancy services, to educate, advise and inform individuals, organisations and governments of the threat of international terrorism, criminal activity and the actions of desperate individuals who aim to disrupt the daily lives of travellers."

Green Light Limited is a London-based aviation security training and consultancy company. Established in February 1996, in an already niche sector, we are one of the industry's leading proponents of Passenger Profiling and a supplier of solutions to in-flight security issues, especially in the realm of Hijacker and Disruptive Passenger Management and Restraint.

It has long been recognised that the effectiveness of any security programme is dependent upon the ability and motivation of those personnel tasked with its implementation. New technologies certainly increase our potential to reveal the designs of terrorists or disturbed individuals, however they will never replace human intuition.

Our courses are designed to ensure that your personnel are both security aware and professionally trained in techniques that will equip them to carry out the duties expected of them. By customising courses to client requirements and pecifications, as well as conducting them at client facilities, we are able to provide a cost-effective method of enhancing staff performance.

Additionally we run seminars that are open to delegates from the industry, most notably "Violence in the Skies", which focuses on in-flight security and the "Art of Profiling".

The company was founded by Philip Baum, a 20-year veteran of the aviation security industry, whose global experience has resulted in his being asked to chair numerous industry symposia and provide professional comment to the media. He is also the Editor of Aviation Security International.

Green Light has been involved in airport, airline and governmental
contracts around the globe, including:-

  • a three-year contract at Banjul International Airport, The Gambia, including auditing, training and consultancy culminating in the airport being certified by the US F.A.A. for flights to operate to the United States; a project recognised by ICAO as being a considerable achievement given the African context.
  • the orchestration of Air Travel Security Seminars for the U.S. Department of Energy to better equip government personnel who are required to travel overseas on assignments.
  • the conduct of In-flight Security courses and Disruptive Passenger courses around the globe, with a list of clients too long to mention.
